I really want to experiment with creating my own Wordpress theme, but my current hosting is not compatible. Is there anywhere free that you could reccommend? Any help would be really appreciated.

For free web hosting, I would recommend 000WebHost.
If you are willing to pay some money for paid hosting, I would recommend Host Gator ( you can read my review at ) with plans at $8.95. They also have 99.9% uptime. A great option!
Well, you pay for what you get!

Go to where they host Wordpress with no trouble. I have a Wordpress site running there and I didn’t even have to install Wordpress. It’s already set up as one of the 29 preinstalled scripts. All you do is click, and it installs itself. Easy as pie. You also get 300MB disk space, 10GB bandwidth, free email, free domain and more. Check it out!!!

I really think free web hosting is a waste of time. You have to deal with ugly 3rd party banners and things like that all over your site. Kind of takes away the “your” in your site. You should consider going to a website like … they have an up to date pricing and features comparison chart for the top 2009 web hosts. The site is free to use and they also run really cool promotions and giveaways. They will pay for the first 3 months of your hosting no matter which one of their advertised hosts you decide to use!

I found a huge online list of personal web hosting services. Locating a nearby webhosting company can have advantages since you can visit thier facility if needed.

You can try 000WebHost for sure. You see a lot of people promoting 000WebHost because they promise lucrative commission. However, you should also know the limitations of a free hosting. You will not get the support you need.
If you need cheap web host without breaking the bank, try

There’s one named 4realhost at:http://4realhost.com/. It’s decent but not nearly as good as paid hosting.
If your looking for something cheap and high quality that even offers Better E-Mail control, check out this review:
