Free WP Themes – Thematic review and where I went wrong

I have spent the last 5 days setting up a new website – www.Wordpress-How-To-WP.com and I decided to give one of the Free WP Themes from the wordpress Themes library that I have had my eye on for a while, Thematic, a try. It is hyped as being an open source Theme Framework with a whole community behind it. The flexibility and support is incredible yada yada yada.

It is hard to beet the Professionally Designed Woo Themes (especially the free woothemes) and Meta-Morphosis is no exception….and did we mention that this is a FREE WOO THEME and the Download Button is at the bottom of page? OK – on to the Theme Overview:

You have to decide on the Blog Layout and design:,

* what is the layout of your blog – Blog articles to the left with archives, ads, etc on the right? Or Blog in the middle with Ads and other features on either side, etc. Does it need a static page for the landing page (Sales sites will do this frequently. Or if it is a site with a consistant message tha tyou want to get across to everyone who goes there) Or built in Adsenese? etc.
* what colors will suit your blog (not all blogs are available in all colors and unless you want to modify the code it is best to find one with the color combo you want)
* What “Extra” Features do you need? A graphic header that goes across the width of the page? Many of the WP THemes available only allow for a verbal header or a t best a header of a given size. Same is true for a footer
