How to find the BEST WP THEME for your blog!

How to find the Best WP Theme for you Blog

Are you thinking about changing the look of your blog? Are you worrying about how you are going to do so? The answer to these questions is very simple.

Background information on WP Themes, etc.
In order to change the look of your blog or website, you do not need to hire a webs developer. You just have to have the right knowledge in order to find the Best WP Theme for your blog or website in order to change its look AND to give you the functionality that you want your blog to have.

Ok, so Wordpress themes are one such way of changing the look of your blog or website and probably the easiest way too. It is worthe noting that everything does not depend on finding the Best WP Theme for yor blog because most WP Themes are configurable to a certain extent. Also Within the WP Themes themselves are Wordpress Plugins (You can click on this link to read our article on How To Wordpress Plugins article). Plugins can add minor changes to your Wordpress theme like adding revolving picture, advertisement or article displays (called sliders) or letting you easily upload YouTube videos, etc. But So these are really just minor enhancements to your blog.

the job is to find the Best WP Theme for your blog if you want to make it look the best and function the best. Wordpress themes are themes which you install on your blog or website and upload it. This will instantly change the ENTIRE  look of your blog for you. But first, you have to find the right wordpress theme for your blog or website. This can be a very troublesome job because there are many Professional Themes (themes you buy that were made by professionals) out there that are just fantastic and there are many Free Themes available thru WordPress. So where do you start in deciding on a new WP Theme?

Obviously you can start by looking on the internet. The right wordpress theme can be easily found on the internet. By easily I mean that, you can easily find the right theme for your blog or website, among all the other themes that are available on the internet. BUT Before you do you need to make a list of some basic things that you must take into consideration before looking for and eventually selecting a new WordPress Theme:

How to find the BEST WP THEME for your blog!

1) You have to know what you want – Is it a Theme that is exactly right out of the box or a Theme that is highly customizeable so you can fiddle with it and make it exactly the way you want it.

2) You have to decide if you are willing to pay $20 – $75 for a Premium Professional Theme Like one from WPZOOM Click here to visit WPZOOM. or Woo Themes Click here to see WooThemes – Premium WordPress Templatesor if you will be satisfied with a free WP Theme.
With A professional Theme you generally get:
  • A cleaner more professional design (Some of them are just stunning)
  • Control panels that let you customize the look and feal by just clicking options
  • The ability to insert Advertisements and other widgets in a variety of ways
  • An easy to use, well thought out set of administration Tools

With A free Theme you Don't have the cost BUT:

  • If you are satisfied with the way they look "out of  then tthe box" and you don't have the need to change the header and side bars hey might be a good choice for you.
  • Even if they have plenty of options, they are not as easy to configure as in the professional Themes (That has been my experience)
  • The Admin panels are weaker and you have to get into the code more often if you want to change it around.
  • There are less options available UNLESS you chose an open source or other Free WP Theme designed to be modified and configured but again, they require more coding then simple configuration and more time.

3) You have to decide what the Theme of your blog really is.
  • For example if your blog is about dogs:
  • is it a Magazine about Dogs? If so then you should be looking at Magazine Themes.
  • if it is really a Blog that focuses on Dog pictures then you should select a Photographers Theme
  • and if it is really about Blogging about you and your dog then you should select a Theme that focuses on the blog itself

4) You have to decide on the Blog Layout and design:,
  • what is the layout of your blog – Blog  articles to the left with archives, ads, etc on the right? Or Blog in the middle with Ads and other features on either side, etc. Does it need a static page for the landing page (Sales sites will do this frequently. Or if it is a site with a consistant message tha tyou want to get across to everyone who goes there) Or built in Adsenese? etc.
  • what colors will suit your blog (not all blogs are available in all colors and unless you want to modify the code it is best to find one with the color combo you want)
  • What "Extra" Features do you need? A graphic header that goes across the width of the page? Many of the WP THemes available only allow for a verbal header or a t best a header of a given size. Same is true for a footer.
  • What about special features for photograph albums etc?.

5) Next you need to start looking at Themes to get a feel for what they offer and what Themes you like vs which ones you don't like.. Here are my Suggestions for places to start looking:

Professional Themes (I have purchased themes from both of these companies and love them!)

It is not as bold or as Flexible as a few of the Professional Magazine Themes like the Yamidoo magazine theme by WPZOOM but it is still really nice. MyMag is a Wordpress Magazine Theme with 2-3 Columns, lovely Javascript effects such as Slideshow, Article Sliders, Newsticker, Image Mouseover Effects, Dropdown Menu and many more. myMag is offers 3 widget-ready sidebars, a big option set with custom logo uploader, 3 colour schemes, display options, advertising options and much more! 7) Suffussion by Sayontan

Click here for the Suffusion Free Wordpress Theme Download

Suffusion is one of the Free WP Themes that I have recently used myself. It is a bold design, almost the inverse of the WP-Creativix design above. One note is be sure this is what you want. While the colors can be changes (using the orange main theme color is dramatic) it still is heavy and I am second thinking my use of it for the website I am using it on. But it is one of those elegant browser-safe free wp themes with a power-packed set of options. It has 8 widget areas, one-column, two-column and three-column fixed-width formats, 10 pre-defined templates, 16 pre-defined color schemes (green, red, orange, purple, 2 shades of blue and 2 shades of gray, each on light and dark backgrounds), two customizable multi-level drop-down menus for pages, categories and links, featured posts, a magazine layout, a customizable tabbed sidebar, widgets for Twitter, Social Networks and Google Translator, threaded comments, translations in many languages and RTL language support..

8) Producer by Asmedia

Click here for the Producer Free Wordpress Theme Download

Producer is another one of those highly flexible free WP themes and in reality I think it is one of the best in terms of flexibility while retaining a keen sense of style that can be used to build a standard blog with 4 layout options (includes a photo slideshow layout) or a magazine style blog with 3 static layout options and the ability to build your own widgets based layout. 6 possible configurations for left and right sidebars. Ability to hide one or both sidebars on 404, index, search results, single post, and static pages. Includes page templates for additional layout options. Re-arrange header section items ( logo/slogan row, horizontal menu row, search bar row, hidden leader board row). 10 featured category slots available. Sticky posts, feedburner, youtube… Producer provides an attractive design out of the box. For even greater flexibility use the CSS styling tool (not included) to create a completely new and unique look for your site without editing a single line of code.

This is a very simple Theme Format. While these styles of WP Themes do not fit my personal needs they are great when really what you want to do is have a blog and communicate out to people. I have seen this theme used by a lady who lives 10 miles from anyplace and has a hobby farm. Her blog is enjoyable to read and you stay focused on what she has to say and what new pictures she posts. WP Themes Review – The Evertis Magazine Theme by WPZOOM

WordPress Themes by WPZOOM

WPZOOM’S EVERTIS MAGAZINE WP THEMES REVIEW

Evertis is an excellent example of the quality WP Themes at WPZOOM

The Evertis Magazine Theme is an excellent Theme with a professional Look, Clean lines and appealing modular presentation.

If you are looking at WP Themes For a Magazine or Blog you really can’t go wrong with this WPZOOM WP Theme.

Here is a pretty Straight Forward view of the core Evertis Magazine WPZOOM WP Themes functionality that is at the heart of this WordPress Theme. i

Special Features Found in the Evertis Magazine WP Themes include:

Featured Slider

This is a pretty cool slider in that you are seeing pages that people can click on.

It is very easy to set up and modify. One of the best sliders I have seen. The control panel for the slider is shown in the screen shot at the end of the article. Nice.

Highlighting Widget

This widget lets you highlight various things on your page such as an Optin tag

or a RSS Feed button, etc. Its these little things that WPZOOM does so well. Put them all together

and you end up with wp themes that create a website  that just stands out from the rest, is easier to manage and easier  for your readers to navigate.

A "Flickr Photos" Widget

This widget is especially desinged for displaying photographs. Nice to have.

Drop Down Menus For Categories and Subcategories

This is actually a big one for me. A lot of Themes out there do NOT have this feature, especially the free WP THemes. And while there are WP Plugins that can add some of this functionality I find that they often do not work with specific themes at all. A real pain. So getting this done right and included is a great thing to have.

Built In Widgets, A Theme Options Panel and Excellent  Theme Control Panels

I lumped all these together. I really Like WPZOOMs WP Themes control panels for managing the Theme> I have included Scree Shots of one of  them at the end of this article but in a nutshell they allow you to add and control banner ads a lot cleaner then pasting htnl code into txt widgets on the side bar,

Basic Functionality Included

  • Template for Full Width Pages (This is a real nice to have when you need it. )
  • Threaded Comments
  • Support for WordPress 2.9+
  • Widgetized Sidebar & Footer
  • Post Thumnails (they do this well. I have a pain with this on some of my non WPZOOM WP Themes).
  • Compatible with all modern browsers
  • Unique Theme Options Admin Panel
  • Featured Slider on Homepage
  • Cufon font replacement integrated
  • Drop-Down Menu for Pages and Categories
  • Pages & Categories Menu Excluder
  • Support for Google Analytics & Feedburner
  • Banner management system (Another feature that I now consider reaquired on any WP Theme I use)
  • Valid XHTML & CSS Code

Here is an example of one of the Evertis Magazine Theme’s control Panels

One thing I have always liked about the WPZOOM WP Themes is that they have clear, concise and easy to use control panels. They don’t over complicate it and you are not left to guess and experiment for days trying to get a feature to work right.

At the end of the day you want to get your blog looking the way you want it to quickly and easily.

  • You want to be able to focus on the  content that keep syour readers coming back.
  • And maybe on monetizing your blog and making some money.
  • You don’t want to be wasting your time fighting the theme.

That is why WPZOOM WP Themes Rock.

And yes I have purchased and used their themes. And they are a personal favorite WP Theme company of mine.

You only see Two WP Themes companies advertised on this website because I only advertise those products that I believe are good.
WPZOOM Themes are great.

WP THemes by WPZOOM have excellent control panels

From the WPZOOM Website we get the following list of Questions and Answers that may address bassic questions that you may have on theitr WP Themes:

General Questions

1. What is WordPress.

Includes theme-options to display an icon in the top right of the header that links to your twitter page, add your google analytics to your footer, place an ad or other content in your sidebar as well as in the gray rounded box in the top right, and setup feedburner if using feedburner. A free Video about the Wordpress Thesis Theme for blogging

Interview with founder, Chris Pearson. Become part of the cool gang & get Thesis: thesistheme.co.uk

Everybody this is a great wordpress Theme video!

I like the Thesis theme a lot! And i really enjoyed what they had to say about it. That said I also like the magnet theme for a paid theme and all the Woo themes for wordpress as well. While there are a lot of really good free themes out there, at the end of the day you really do get a higher quality site with a professional theme. Although some of the pro themes do go overboard with the options. I would prefer them to focus some of these themes on one thing and doing it very well instead of trying to make a one size fits all wordpress theme.

Anyhow, enjoy this free wordpress theme video!

How to Change Wordpress Theme Header and WP Theme Colours

How to Change the Wordpress Theme Header and Overall Colors.

This post is for all the people out there wordpress theme how to are using prosense task, but need to customise theme. Assuming you know how to use FTP and edit images, I should show you how I customised the header image, the subscribe button image, and the overall color of each column. When I searched for the way to do that I found very little information that related to this theme. So that is why I made a decision to pen this post.

Changing this image will only change the background image. It will not change the title text and the RSS subscribe icon.

jpg – Controls the look of the RSS subscribe icon on the header.

jpg – This image controls how the column colours will look and how the overall colours will look.

First wordpress theme how toyou need to do is ftp copies of the three files from your prosense wordpress theme how to directory wp-content twordpress theme how to prosenseimages folder to your pc. Simply open every one of the photographs in your image revising program and change them as you see fit.

Note : The boundaries, and fashion of the wordpress header are managed by the .CSS code in your style.css page.

header_footer_img. jpg – This is a solid color wordpress theme how to that may be modified to whatever you want. Keep in mind that the title text and rss icon will stay in their same position on the wordpress theme how toand will overlay any background image you put. Also if you want to get rid of the title context you can simply take away the title in your wordpress admin settings but you will luck out on the ability to click the title to get back to your house page.

rss-feed-icon. jpg – (A little secret) If you increase this icon size it will increase your header size but will tile the header background image. You can change this icon to however you would like it to look and it will still work properly when you wordpress themes

page_background. jpg – This image is a very thin image with three or 4 colours on it. Each of the colours outline the color of each column of the theme from left to right. Be careful and backup this image before altering the colors.

If you have any questions regarding this feel free to reach me or visit my site Money Reservoir and leave a comment on this post.

WordPress Design And Theme – The Best Way To Search For The Right WordPress Theme

So you want to make a blog about an exciting subject, create a buzz and draw a ton of readers to your site right? And you want them t love your blog so much that they bookmark it and tell all their friend right?
Well the first thing you need to do is select an attractive theme that markets your blog! There are a lot of great Word Press Theme deals out their today (I prefer the Woo Themes myself – great looking and search engine friendly) and while there are a lot of ways to change the looks of your blog. But the best way to do so is to use a wordpress theme. Wordpress themes can easily change the looks of you blog in an instant and help you to make your blog look more attractive to users. Most blogs have the problem that they are not getting enough readers for the content.

One of the best ways to increase the readers on your blog is by changing the way your blog looks. Wordpress helps you with this and in many other ways as well. The wordpress theme also makes your blog more easy to use and easy to customize according to your needs. So when the next time you have the need to get more readers to your blog, try out a wordpress theme on your blog.

Wordpress themes are easily available on the internet. All you have to do is to use a simple search on a search engine and you will find hundreds of websites offering millions of wordpress themes for your blog or website. All you have to do is to find the right theme for your blog and upload it on your blog. The theme will be ready to use as soon as you upload and install it on your blog. So this was all the easy part now comes a little hard part and that is finding the right wordpress theme. As I said earlier, there are millions of wordpress themes available on the internet.

This means you have to search a lot and why you have to do that is because websites that uploads these themes do not have an advanced search option for searching the right wordpress theme. So, you have to use a limited criterion to search for a wordpress theme. Believe me, it is difficult than it actually sounds because even with the limited criteria search, the search results will be on hundreds of pages and finding the right one on those pages is almost impossible.
